I am currently searching the roof box for my Rondo but suprisingly I can’t get any offer at all, either from Thule, Kia Accessory, Brothers or any other accessory outlet. Because EX model do not come with the Roof Rail! I even wanted to get the orginal roof rail but Kia Accessory said “NO OFFER”. smile_disapprove.gif

Any taikoh has any better idea to where buy & fix the Roof rail. I am also wondering if the Roof is pre drill with hole to fix the rail by the factory?

Thule definitely has the parts for the EX. This has been discussed here before. All you need are the clamps and the cross bars.

Kevin,
I notice that the cross bar that comes with NAZA RIA & Sorento is so nicely fit (a little bit cuff shape) on the roof railing... I know Thule did have the cross bar for Rondo EXS, but still the design is not as nice as the NAZA RIA & Sorento one.. You know how much is the Original KIA cross bar for Rondo?

I've contacted Thule until email to Sweden, unfortunately the kit is not developed yet for those empty roof. Information from them in their Database all Rondo is with Railing, either intergrated or bar railing. I am asking them to check if any kit compatible or close for Rondo since they have 1500++ type of kit in their database. They promised to measure the Rondo roof (side contour) to see if any foot kit could come close.

As for Perrycraft, I've also wrote to them but the fitting have to drill another hole if there is a pre drilled hole at our Rondo. I'll try to contact kia Malaysia to see if this railing sell as sparepart in their listing.

Another alternative is those 4 WD accessory shop where they can provide this service but look not so presentable.

either Thule, Fook Sang, or KIA all said NO OFFER. I only left the Perrycraft option - drilling holes or Highland Universal Roof Rack. smile_disapprove.gif

Will do more research which option to go and get back to you guy once finalized.

And it is not cheap for the railing.. What make up your mind not to choose EXS that time?

Kawan, something call budget smile_tongue.gif . I've already streched the 70K++ to 80K++. Further I don't need the autoclimate, 16"wheel.... currently did a lot of travelling with Parents to visit relative to KL. Something space for lugages not enough especially 3 rows occupied.

I got better option from Australia - Rhinorack & Rola rack, both ready for Rondo - non permanent roof rack. Considering this few options. To be frank, I don't have good impression with Thule for their respond over the mail which they don't even have any interest to develop but their competitor Yakima, Rhino & Rola are ready for Rondo EX. So next time when to purchase the roof box, for sure I'll strike off this Thule in my list.
