to bro mosh..... I drive a Proton and some other cars. One is not doing well, sputtering black smoke wherever I go laugh.gif And the year 2000 Wira is rusting on the roof, the power window on the front passenger long dead and cannot open now, and the rear light, the right side collects rain water, have a large plastic basin to collect the water which when boot rise will let water out of the brake light.

Rgds

bro...... a bit too late to say no, oredi own the car. Selling or trading in the car is just passing around the Proton. I will use it until it breaks down or condemned by Puspakom, then I will push it into the sea so sea life can thrive on it.......that of course hoping the fishes are not fussy and dont want Protong tongue.gif

Bought Proton not by choice bro......it was forced to me by the Govt by making all other cars more expensive. If Govt do not control car prices to help Proton then in all likelyhood I would not have touched Proton, let alone buying it.

Its crystal clear that policy corners everyone and been going on for more than 2 decades now. There's NO indication anythings going to change. Its very possible allowing free market trade with local auto industry will cripple at least one national car for a start and dent the gahmen's tax revenue. Looks like IT WON'T BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN, so every potential Malaysian car buyer IS A SU***R to payout more money than the car is actualy worth!..no if's no buts. Its FACT!

OTH, It may not be so bad if one pioneer national car produce cars much much cheaper and as good as any the other, help encourage ridding of smoggy decade old or unfit cars off Malaysian roads, lessen the burden of high repair and maintenance costs to rakyat, I'm for it, but again, THERE'S NO CONCRETE EVIDENCE or indication it'll happen. All the worry is a big dent in tax revenue..I'M COCKSURE!.

THEY TELL YOU ITS "PROTECTION"...actually it means "protect tax revenue from deteriorating".. TRUE OR NOT...I don't see ANY OTHER PRIMARY or TRUE REASON!.

nuff said.. smile_thumbup.gif

even when we change G .the prev G wud not let go its hold very easily to the new G.. lets say, new G change.. no more NAP.. and no more tax.. the new gahmen itself were asking for suicide note as they are liberating more and more things but there is no return as tax is a very realible surce of income for goverments and countrys thru out the world.

like it or not we are destined to be crippled.. capitalism will be always be a capitalism no mater who rules as it was the very essense of their democratic system itself. there is no Utopian society. no future no hope. as least what we can do is, work hard, earn our hard earn clean cash and decide what we're gonna do to make our life. NAP or no NAP, we still screwed..! smile_dead.gif

Without Proton, these monkeys will source another way for their bananas supplied. Very hard to say whether benefit or not.

Maybe no Proton, Honda & Toyota can sell cheap like Camry 2.4 at RM90K. BUT, one glass kopi O sell at RM5. Not coffee bean but roadside hawker. Coz all consumable products like sugar etc are taxed kaw kaw. Maybe only ar.... Dun tembak me. smile_tongue.gif
