So slow? If it's launching in May, that means we'll only get to see new Ranger by year end. If too close to October, they'll sure delay to December launch so that the buyers will get 2012 number and model. I hope Ford is up to something like preparing enough stock before launching, by then, there is chance to launch at Q3.
Ford Ranger Wildtrak unveiled at Geneva.
Sources : First seen at the Australian International Motor Show (Sydney) in October 2010, the Australian-developed Ford Ranger ute is scheduled to arrive locally in late 2011. The Wildtrak version will be the hero model of the range, fitted with an head-turning bodykit.

That is some nice thing to hear. Read that review, the rear camera is ideal for this big pickup truck, make reverse easy. Hope it starts production in Thailand soon. Best time to launch this in Q3.

Thanks for the photos, links and update. Hail new Ford Ranger!! Yeah! This is proper replacement for the existing Ranger platform that has been around since day 1. Finally, a full size Ranger pickup truck with proper exterior and interior design. If selling price around RM90k, this is ideal for my old drive to work car replacement. 4x4 variant of Triton 2.5 and Hilux 2.5 are selling at RM95k while Navara 2.5 at RM103k. Will the Ranger 2.2D at RM90k or 95K? Hope not more than RM95k. Ford comes up with 1 of best diesel engine ever with VGT. This is so tempting, wonder why Ford can't launch this year? Same goes to Focus 2011.

From what I hear, but I can't vouch for this, the Ranger is actually not 100% production ready. This is the reason why Mazda's end is keeping quiet with regards to the BT-50.
As for the Focus, what I hear is that it will come out 2012 from Rayong. No earlier.
