it is a RX270 , could be a standard spec or basic spec.luxury and full spec has leather seat. standard and basic don't have leather seat.

but if basic spec - won't have rear aircond in the last row..not sure about the sun roof.

the gear is a tiptronic , in D can upshift by pushing the stick to the right and downshift by pushing to the left.

if it has the last/3rd row aircond, then (for me) it is worth to buy. sunroof is not important, some of our members including me almost want to "tampal" the roof already..he he he he..if broken will set us back 5k to 6k!!!

but the seats is fabric, informed from my brother.

come with dillemma , worth or not, Kuching doesnt got much choice for used rexton market.. :/ tho i like the looks n 7 seaters..

need info from rexton owners.
im from sarawak and going to buy a used Rexton ( http://www.mudah.my/...on-10237352.htm )

what model was it? as inform from my lil bro in Kuching (im not in kuching, elsewhere) , the rexton doesnt come with sunroof and the transmission just have P, R, N, D only without 2, 3, L etc (actually i dont understand), coming back to the sunroof thing, what i see every rexton sell in mudah.my or else come with sunroof, so what model if without model, and the other main difference?

is it worth to buy the model? (of coz price in Sarawak bit higher)..

From the photos at Mudah, there are few obvious differences that I noticed, maybe other bros have sharper eyes than mine as always.

1. It does not has rear spoiler and 3rd brake light is at the rear end. This looks like 2008 Rexton II model.

2. The front headlight, front grille and dashboard confirm belonging to RX270XDI model but RX270XDI comes with sunroof, not an important features for us in Malaysia. You won't want to open the sunroof 99% of the time and it pass more heat thru sunroof.

3. RX270XDI model comes with P (Park), R (Reverse), N (Neutral), D (Drive) then + and - on the side for tiptronic drive to shift gear in manual mode. It display the gear position digitally at odometer.

Could it be one of the limited edition model as reported here?

There are lesser Rexton in Kuching but not too rare. I see around 5 Rextons on the road daily when I am in Kuching. You can always order spare parts thru RextonHub and get Merc or 4X4 workshop to install for you. General maintenance could be done by at Merc workshop or thru DIY following our guides here.

Can see the engine size from the engine cover itself or the car log card but too bad, there are no photos of the engine compartment. Perhaps it is a RX270XDI basic model with spoiler removed and replaced with RexII rear tail.

I would be more concern with the engine condition and transmission smoothness, any oil leaking, if the propeller shaft is missing, any warning lights, etc.. than to worry about sunroof and spoiler.

Confirm its not luxury spec. Could be one of the basic 270xdi though.
1. No leather seat is the giveaway
2. Passenger side no airbag
3. Side exterior does not have chrome above wheel arch
4. sidestep looks like aftermarket. basic spec doesnt come with sidestep.
5. I think the meter is the old black type... not the new one because missing the green/white near numbering (squinting to see hehe)
6. mudguard is aftermarket too.

Real good detective eyes, I did not notice the passenger side no airbag, side step and meter too. Mudguard also you noticed

already forward my application for bank loan .. not much choice here, there's still no used full spec rexton at the moment, therefor hd to choose only the basic spec, hope it enough for my heart desired..

As long as it is RX270XDI, that is good enough. Hope you will remain active and soon we can have more bros from East Malaysia. Can meet up with you when I am in Kuching.
