Hello guys...
Its very interesting and useful topic for a beginner like me. After few months surveying around... finally i decided to buy 1. Yesterday has submitted the loan. RX270 2005. I found it on Mudah.com. Here is the link
http://www.mudah.my/... 05-6743957.htmTested on the road but dont have opportunity to go on hiway. So far so good. But if anyone know the history of this car, please share with me. Plate number WMN9987.
If everything is OK, most probably next week i will collect the car. But before that appreciate if anyone could advice me how to check important part ie engine, gearbox...
Thanks
hi guys,
Just need some advise from rextonian. How about Rexton RX280, Is it okie or no? How about fuel consumption and maintenance wise?

Hi Bro, rexton 280, if possible avoid it. Fuel consumption itself will set you back. As we are more to rx270xdi, it is kinda difficult to comment on the rx280. For the rx270xdi, we can easily manage 650km and above for every full tank of bout rm110 worth of diesel, in urban travel.

rexton 280 is very rare, can't even google to get the spec. most petrol rexton is 320.it has the same toys like rx270xdi but as bro teerex said, consumption will set you back and the roadtax also higher.

Ayoh, the 3.2 petrol is terrible! Dont play play with it and the performance is lousy too. I used to have a 3.2 Citation Big horn road tax is ok at less than 2k / yr - still a few dollars changed back, but the bloody petrol bill at that long time petrol price cost me RM2k plus per month!!! (at petrol old price a full tank RM160 / 320kms in town and h'way +60km never more than 400km - easy to remember, now ?dont know??) cos I do about 5-6k kms of travelling per month. but stability and comfort like sallon car - dont know you are on a 4x4!!! have enjoyed riding it for quite a few years and then as soon as somebody wants quickly sold it off and now my diesel fuel saved is almost enough for my monthly repayment for my new diesel SUV now.
