Wow...I've checked out DTK. Their website provides useful information, even videos on installation. But the figures on Ford focus tdci 136hp is a bit different, it says original torque is 240 and torque with tuning is 300...are these NM or lb/ft? Anyway, thanks for the info.

236 lb/ft is about 320nm.

HI all, just collected my TDCI Monday after test driving the beast in May. Must say that it has been a very good experience so far. My 1st service is due on the 1k km mark and since I am going to Betong this weekend, next Monday will be it. Have installed Vector Tuning Box on my E270 cdi and Kangoo 1.5 Turbodiesel. I have kept a Waja copcar behind me all the way for 5 km in heavy traffic on the NKVE with 5 person on board the kangoo!!

Now odo reading still below 700km after 1st fillup, 8.5l/100km. Will share more as the km pile on.

Started with 8.5l/100km 1st tank, 8.2l, 8l and 7.5l. Done nearly 1k km per week. Quite difficult not to press the accelerator when the engine torque and the powershift gearbox works so seamlessly. Overtaking is just a flick of your right toes!!

So far no major complaints but there is a whistling noise from the passenger side when going 110km/h . Going to get it checked on the 10k service. My bro in law drove it on the way to Betong and just could not let me drive it until we arrived at the Customs checkpoint! Now he is asking when I am getting rid of the TDCI!!! LOL!

Talked to tazztham about the gadget but apparently he needs to refer back to Germany for some parts. Now its done 3800km.

The Focus is near 9k km now. Changed the crappy oem NCT5 to Hankook V12 on recommendation of a bro. Also because the rear driver side got punctured by a bolt causing a hole 5mm diameter. The fronts were also worn to where the sipes were gone and only the big blocks are seen.

The V12 has comparable or better comfort and way better grip in dry and wet.

So far the FC has been staying at 7.0 to 7.4 l/100km

Anyone here owns a white FF TDCI staying in Selayang opposite Mydins?

Hi,

I'm buying the new Focus TDCI for my wife and yesterday the car arrive at the showroom. I just would like to confirm with existing owners on the board that covers the bottom of the boot. The TDCI comes with full size spare tire (matching alloy wheel) and it seems that the board that covers the spare tire was not properly design for that. So they put foam around the tire so it is level with the tire height and then the board cover. Unfortunately the board cover does not fit well and there are gap where you can actually see what it suppose to cover. Definitely the worse boot board cover I've ever seen... I had a kancil a few years back and even the kancil boot board was better. Just wondering is this standard or I'm being rip off?

Hi,

Actually when I first got the car, I noticed that too, but after checking on some websites, it looks genuine to me because it's the same for the uk and taiwan focus. For the gap, you'll notice that if you just pull the piece harder towards the end, it will cover it quite nicely.

Hi, thanks for your prompt reply! It put my mind at ease a little. Facing the boot, I did try to pull the board towards me but the rounded edge of the board sort of stopping it. It seems like the board was design for slim spare tire as you can see, the rounded edge of the boot wall is bigger the deeper it is toward the bottom. Plus, do you also have hole cutout at all four corners of the board?

You are luckier than Focus sedan owners - they only have a space saver spare but the cover fits perfectly.
