Autoworld's Defining Moments

Over the years, members have come and gone, but we still have a core group of loyal members and silent readers who have not stopped supporting us.
As part of our 10th anniversary celebration, we would like to invite you, the members, to join us on a journey down memory lane to relive some of the defining moments in Autoworld's history. We would like you to nominate a defining moment in Autoworld's history. Throughout our ten years, we have lived through some pretty exciting moments, and we would like to share those moments here.
I can think of a few magical moments myself, but we would like you, the forummers, to come up with your thoughts and tell us your most endearing memory of our website. Post your moments here on this thread. At the end of the month, we will lock it, and shortlist five to be voted by members of the forum. (Read: Closing date 30/9/2009)
The person who nominated the winning moment stands to receive a mystery prize.
We would like to run this little "contest" on a more informal basis, as the idea is for us all to think back of some of our good times together (flaming each other?) in the forums, meeting up in TTs etc.
Anyone can post any moment, it would then be up to the forummers to vote for their choice.
Of course, I trust everybody understands that we reserve the absolute right to filter this thread from flaming.

Third Runner Up - When Chips left for the other forum
Second Runner Up - When NMT was first closed
First Runner Up - When NMT was opened again
and the winner for Autoworld most defining moment is when The Gunner decided to join Autoworld as a full-time staff.

Others:
The old NMT never fails to make me laugh on a blue day - anyone remember the topic about some 'shit' (sorry for using this word)?
The visit to Police KL headquarters to record statement for the Proton Gen2 photo leak.
The setup of a AW_parents_kiddeos group - which is a spin off from NMT for Parents and Kids talk in Yahoo group - where auntie like me got to share parenting tips.
Numerous lawyers letter to Autoworld for what forum members has posted
Kind unker kinghamsap who tried to setup a 'charity for Autoworld' seeking forum members for donation to help keep AW going. Not forgetting him who also helped out in one of our treasure hunt. Many thanks.

Well I join AW in Nov 2004, and I was mostly in Tyre & Wheel Talk Topics, as my best automotive knowledge was in Tyres.
In there, I have made a lot of friends, help quite a few forumers, met up in TT's etc. etc....
Then one day, one member found this in BMW forum, and informed us:-

ha ha tis is not new la! in a forum especialy.
autoworldd's quicksave is quietly on the act subtly promoting his tire biz. so many user names mubull, v2turbo, azbro, veyron , andrewlim, etc etc all by the same man. even his writing style has become similar. but all very entertaining la. imagine him talking to so many 'others' with problems when actually promoting his brands! :stupid:
be cautious when someone recomend specific brands. all the time. :listen: run run fellow forumers!
all i really know is samsam, johnj and absidian has cited top rated tires in our bmwmalaysia forum so this means very hard to go wrong with them."
Isn't it funny
Well, after that we actually had a tt at Quicksave, Leon took a photo of us and posted it in Tyre & Wheel to show that we were actually all different persons.......
Of course from the names mentioned only mubull, myself (vr2turbo) and Leon was there, as azbro is from J.B. and andrewlim is from Ipoh....
I wonder what they have to say after that........
