Agreed. smile_thumbup.gif

pat1988 - i meant that you have to convert the pricing because this is the import price that is paid to the external party. e.g. you pay SGD10,000 for a japanese car, that goes to Japan in yen equivalent. you pay RM50,000 for the same car, that goes to Japan in yen equivalent also.

but anyway, i do agree with your points too. it's probably because they have a more open market. no crap redtape from the govt and (!@*#&$%$% connected individuals.

sigh......

Yes, I know what you mean but you have to compare like with like. For example, why is our gomen comparing petrol prices with:

1. Non-petrol producing countries
2. Countries which supply Euro 4 petrol?

I understand that Euro 3 and above costs more to produce as it requires an additive package on top of refinement requirements.

Now some of us are going to be penalised for driving higher cc cars (where road tax is already very high) and earning more money. What does gomen mean by socio-economic factors? Frankly, I can't think of a fool-proof way to do this and I think I am better educated than 99.9% of the cabinet. Alas, it is all our own fault as, collectively, we voted for this gomen. So, let's suffer the consequences of our own deeds ! smile_angry.gif

Wow Delpiero, your experience is worse than mine.

But the same conclusion, whether it's service or sales - they have this tidak apa attitude: you want to buy, then show your money first, don't talk so much, otherwise, go buy a Merc or BMW or Audi......(didn't even bother to say "please"... Idiots!)

So Delpiero, what's your ride now?

yaya... i agree.. that VW SC (SgBesi)... very bad, those staff all stupid, all black mouth black face, really make ppl angry.
and the technician also not PRO... my aircond rosak, under warranty, b4 they change, they said need to check whats the problem, and the checking fee is not under warranty.. i need to pay RM188 just for the checking.

warranty part need to wait for insurance adjuster come and check your car inorder to approve the change.
it take me 1-2weeks to get approval, and they said no parts in stock, take another 2weeks to order from Ger.
after 2-3weeks, change the aircond compressor... den only they said the FAN also rosak, also no stock.. wait for 2-3weeks only go and change again.

5start car but no-start service... dont buy VW car anymore... if you are driving VW, dont go sg.besi that SC.

My colleague's polo sedan has very high fuel consumption. Upon checking the net, the normal range should be around +/-500KM, but he can hardly go beyond 400KM. Went to Sg. Besi SC to check but the technician failed to detect any fault. He left the SC disappointingly with the same problematic car he drove in, now totally clueless on what he should do.

sorry to say this..

in my opinion, most of the car owners nowadays are completely noobs (a nice word, i actually wanted to use idiots)..

FC is in direct relation to
- how u drive
- where u drive
- traffic condition (u cant expect good FC stuck daily in LDP jam right?)
- maintenance factors (under-inflated tyres, how well is the car maintained)
- and most importantly, how much fuel is pumped (duh !!)

of course la they cant detect any fault...
there is no device that can be plugged into the owners head to do diagnostic...

-----------

i sent my car to Sg Besi and I am satisfied with their service in general.
have you take a look at yourself in the mirror lately? how u treat the service advisor will get you the same treatment back.
being polite goes a long way...
