Fun right?
SF,
when u heel n toe, do your car understeer or oversteer when on the limit?
I know most FWD car will understeer but when my sis Neo CPS oversteer, it totally caught me by surprised.
from my experience, FWD will oversteer when:
1. sudden brake in mid corner.
2. use high gear while attacking corner (eg: 4th gear while attacking sharp bend at 80km/h)
3. very bad tyre on rear wheel compare to front one. (eg: front - Advan Neova, rear - sime tyre astar)

Even F1 change its tyre if the car was meant for racing. What it is fitted are economical tyres.

First of all, i dont brake on mid corner.
I take sharp bend at 90km/h on 3rd gear to keep the rev high.
The Neo CPS is shod with Conti Sport Contact 1 which imho is not a bad tyre.
So in my case, is it bcoz the car is setup to handle like the way it does?

The big piece of spoiler at the roof sticking out like a sore thumb and prominent wheel arches have made this car to look like it is born to be driven fast and furious style.
Once upon a time I like the look of Satria neo, especially when looking at the rear end. V.Nice butt. But the front look turned me down, the headlight very
sepet and too small in proportion to the car size.
Now Neo CPS has overdone with the rear spoiler and wheel arches... not my taste anymore. I prefer Gen2 more.
just my opinion.

actually if u check the CPS spec. with normal neo u will realize that proton actually downgrading neo CPS handling limits...
reducing both front and rear track width....
-plus shorter car have a common snap-oversteer profile....every hatchback have this...the differents is the way manufacturer tune and reduce the risk...(some example::toyota MRS,renault clio,VW polo etc)
but proton diong it the wrong way instead of increase the width they reduced it....i wonder why...maybe by doing this oversteer could occur at much lower speed (where it would be less risk of fatal injury) so it would scare youngster that have ZERO proper driving skill and promote slower driving for them...

I haven't tested the Neo CPS myself, but a friend of mine who did commented that it snap-oversteers very readily.
In the wise words of James May, that's "oversteer and understeer in one small package."

Thanks for the input rallychamp.
Dont think the scare tactics works on me as i push is faster when i know the moment it starts to oversteer during corner.
One more reason i think is the car understeer too much already when reaching mid corner.Maybe they induce earlier oversteer to help the car turn sharper.

full throttle understeer
part/off throttle oversteer
both at high rev
