But viscosity not much difference from 15w-50 to 10w-50, but 5000 is mineral, 7000 is semi & 9000 is full syn. right??

U are right on 5000 and 9000.
So its logical for 7000 to be semi even i hav never see or use it b4.

On the 15w-50 and 10w-50,i agree to that the viscosity is not much different but the engine never lies when it does not like the oil.
If not can save a lot in maintenance cost on the 1.8.

I'm considering to run my BLM on the Quartz 9000 10w-30 when i want to stop sending to sc.
U think it can handle it or is it too thin?
If not maybe 10W40.I'm aiming for good fc.
So far engine does not consume oil.Plug oso dry.

I did see Total advertisement in the newspaper. If not mistaken 7000 is semi.
BLM on 10w-30, should be okay. I am running my VR4 on 5w-30 now....heh! heh!
Lightest oil that I have gone to. Imagine started from 10w-60 to 5w-40 to 5w-30.
As engine gets older should be the other way around.... smile_big.gif

Morning start is very good, but hydraulic tappets seems noisier when warmed up.
Might go back to 5w-40 or 5w-35 (mix ...ha! ha!)
Now checking whether the oil is disappearing.... smile_wink.gif

Maybe i hav yet to see them here.
So far had tried these:

The right-most is the best value for money oil.
Its used in the Kenari.Change at every 5k km interval.
It can last longer, maybe 7k km.
I said this bcoz i feel the same after oil change.Usually with other car,i can feel the engine a bit smoother.
Old packaging is orange in colour, now its grey.Still 3l container.

Quartz 9000 is used on the Waja 1.8.
A bit better than Bardahl and Syntium fuly syn.
However can only stay smooth to about 8k-9k km.

The center oil in the pic is a question to me.
Cannot recall which car used it.
Probably the Waja 1.8 but cannot provide smooth and light engine so switch back to Quartz 9000.

how much is the 10w30? i wanted to try it on my kenari but i can't find this around in alor setar and penang..they only have the FS one

Dun worry, the oil easily last beyond 5k km.
