Epang so bad....scare the daylight out of those who want to change the steering logo themselves. smile_tongue.gif

Don't worry guys, the airbag will not deploy, if you still worried like Epang does.

Epang is not worried about deploying the airbag accidentally la, he just love the Naza emblem. tongue.gif LOL.

The way I see it, you have been warned. DIY changing anything on the car and you cannot blame Naza for any malfunction in that particular part. Still want to change it? Go ahead. Best bet is like what Andy said, go get NZ Galaxy people to do it for you, pay the slightly high price, still worth it.

In case of an accident and the airbag deploys... and the restored Lion pops out and scratches your face. Eh... if you get the airbag deploys, it's pretty bad already, so you should be happy as long as you're still alive. tongue.gif

To cut a very long story short... DON'T change steering cover just to change the logo. If want to change logo, change the whole cover with airbag. Airbags are very sensitive and VITAL to your safety.

P/S: If changing at NZ Galaxy, please keep the receipt. Warranty is another story for another day. biggrin.gif

the sad thing that i've heard about changing the naza logo on the steering wheel cover to a peugeot one is that Peugeot M'sia will not cover the warranty of any car that did the conversion. Nasim is 'fighting' against their stand on this. Moreover, one of Naza subsidiary, NZ Galaxy, do offer such conversion service (which involved changing the steering wheel cover w/o affecting the airbag) for rm250 (previously RM200 only).

But look like Peugeot M'sia had other things / opinion in their mind. I myself are not very sure why Peugeot M'sia (which is a different entity from Nasim) took such a stand.

we all could apreciate that the airbag is sensitive but that sensitivity is control by the airbag module, which sit not in the steering wheel but placed around/under the gear level area.

simple safety measures such as switching off the engine and additionally pulling out the battery terminal wire should surely disable the airbag function during changing the steetring wheel cover.

But given the current scenario (about the warranty poser betwenn Peugeot m'sia & Nasim regarding this issue), it is best to wait and see what the final decision striked between both of them.

but if Nasim is willing to undertake any risks (related to warranty issue) to continue NZ Galaxy side business in changing the steering wheel cover, you might go ahead and change the cover.

It does make a huge difference.
