Magna, thank you for your input,

My initial budget was about 90k so stretching it to 96500 was okay since i was taking a 7 year loan. I was also considering the Latio Sport 1.6 but I think the 308 VTi is alot more visually striking and from an engineering standpoint superior. But going beyond 96k would be stretching it quite abit. As a family man, my purchase drivers are Safety, Comfort and Space. Of course throw in the good looks and its a bonus.

Of course you could say why not get an MPV but then again MPVs are dull and sometimes when the urge strikes and you want to tekan abit and have fun on he twisty bits, the 308 will be fun.

anyway havent decided yet, still weighing the pros and cons.

bro, have u tested both the new city and 308 vti? i''m in the same dilemma also but have not tested both car yet, mind to share how's the performance and which one is more powerful? thanks.

I 2nd that..

But as I said, getting a pug is like a death trap...so when its time to get your self a newer car (years later when your Pug kaput), 2nd value very - very low...so its either to keep it for life or start saving alot.

I've got a second option...hehe...wait for 2 years, then get a 2nd hand 308 smile.gif
Sure got wan...even cars that are less than 6 months can be found at the 2nd hand car shop.
2 years for a 308 is still OK, unless its an accident car. So instead of buying it at 96K, you'll be getting it at probably less than 70K...or even 60K! Dun worry, Pug cars very seldom change models, unlike Jap car, always come out with facelift (while cost down for other parts). End of the day, you'll loose a lot if you wanna trade in the Pug. Dun get me wrong... love Pugs also.

I don't think there'll be anymore of those NAZA branded Peugeot. This 308 is already CKD, I doubt there'll be CKD-CKD NAZA 308.

Viewed the car last weekend with "finance minister", the exterior and interior was okay but the boot space is abit too small for my need.

Personally to me, between a Pug and Honda, you buy City with your brain but a Pug with your heart. So it really depends on which part do you listen more, hehehe.... for me it's always been the heart, brain will only kick in once I'm trading in my car, hehe... laugh.gif

So there's no right or wrong in between choosing City or 308.
Often wrong, never in doubt...

Too bad the 308 SW is not here. Otherwise you may have to retract your last statement about MPV. tongue.gif

the 308SW WAS available in malaysia but in very limited numbers.

one of my customer traded in his Naza Ria for a 407SW but since he was required to wait (no stock), he went for the 308SW instead.
i believe Nasim did not proceed to sell this model due to poor response from market.

its either a sedan, a 5 door hatch or an MPV for malaysian mainstreams.
