blame it on the high prices of parts which scare most car buyers away.

Recently, during my service, Federal Auto wanted RM300 to change my wipers. On the contrary, I went to Jalan Ipoh to source the original wiper blade for my 2005 S40, only RM150.
I must blame the dealer and Volvo Malaysia for stupid parts strategy. This has caused a fair bit of dent on the brand in Malaysia due to the perception of expensive car parts! Volvo Malaysia and their dealers really need a 'wake up' call!

toffee,
mind to share where did u buy your wiper from? original volvo?
actually not only volvo is practising this, BM and Merze also charging their parts at sky high price if u go directly to their workshop.
been told by a friend, changing front brake pad for the Honda City at honda workshop costs $300 plus, dun u think it's overpriced too ?
