You can also try the other spare parts shop near PH auto. There are afew around the area. There is a whole stretch directly opposite facing the shell station facing the main road where PH Auto is. I bought my Cefiro Bendix GCT from one of those shops. IF don't have can sure ask the spare parts shop to order mah.

Thank you.

The reason I posted this enquiry is that I am unable to go shop to shop in search of the GCT model for Hyundai Sonata NF as it may not be in stock in most shops (NF is not the most popular car model on the road) and hence, it is likely that they will have to order it.

The stock original brake pad which I am using now has worn out after 32k km on the road and a replacement is fairly urgently required.

So to save time and trip(s), I hope to be able to call to confirm availability (GCT DB 1504 only) and price before making the trip there.

Otherwise, as an alternative, I may have to resort to mail order online.

Some have returned my queries quoting RM210 per pair including installation.

Other online sources indicate however that the price for the brake pad is not more than RM140 per pair.

If I go to a parts retailer to order, I wonder what sort of prices they will be asking - that is if they willing to order ?

The pads for your 2.4 is not the same as the 2.0? My Sonata III, I found uses same pads as the 2.0 and I got some Korean made pads, and the pads cost below RM100.
My VR4 pads, Bendix Metal King Titanium pads cost around RM100 only. General CT should be slightly cheaper....but maybe different car make could be slightly more...

Hi vr2turbo,

Do you know of any other shop/outlet that sells Bendix GCT DB 1504 brake pads for Sonata NF 2.4 (2006)?

I called up PH Auto, Sea Park but they say they do not stock this model.

I intend to replace original Hyundai brake pads with DB 1504.

Your assistance is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Mate,

This guy is the carrier for Bendix

I bought my Bendix GCT DB1504 (Ceramic) for RM130 (includes RM10 postage) per pair online from Dparts. Offline queries reveal that this pad retails for RM120 too.

There was no Bendix Metal King pad size and spec suitably recommended for Sonata NF. Hence I opted for Ceramic range.

I believe that the pads for Sonata NF 2.0 and 2.4 are the same.

Korean brand pads for Sonata NF costs below RM100 - between RM70-90.

Naza branded ones for NF are even cheaper (below RM60).

Hence, the choices for NF are quite varied with different price points.

Overall am happy with Bendix Ceramic - quiet, not grabby and braking power is progressive and well controlled.

I think I will stick with this Bendix Ceramic for front wheels for normal commuting. Will watch out for brake dust and wear out rate as time goes by.

Thank you to all forumners who have helped with comments.

Hi vr2turbo,

Sonata III refers to Sonata EF ? But same pads with NF is a good thing. I wonder if the brake rotor/caliper size/brake pump/ABS set up is the same ?
