the PU kit engine mountings that i show you guys before it turn out
one of it is for phs 2 model only ,as i been told by my mechanic phs 1
are same as phs 2 on the two lower engine mounting, but where i
took out my two lower engine mounts only realize only one is same
.....another one is smaller .....very sad,

so really need spare mounting ( those broken one )from any V/S 40
owners here. so i can try to modify it with PU kits.

Thank you.

hmmm

Pu bush is stiffer then standard bush. Go figure.

LAZY ASS EXPLANATION
Stiffer = Less damping = More vibration...unless if you can get the PU
bushes in the same durometer range as the standard bush.

That why i call this as "project " to my mounting, need to try on my car
first before i confirm this thing work for our X40.

Our X40 ( phs 1 ) standard mounts is been known on under design to
damping our car engines vibration ( phs 2 had been upgraded to
hydraylic mounts ), we need to replace almost once a year ( original
cost for 4 pcs.almost rm 1100 )

If i call it "project " mean it still under going the R&D, as i say early i
only found 1 out of 4 mounts to "push " in the PU bushe still looking
for another 3 broken mounts to R&D.

Do you have one ?

Hi Bro Richard!

Any progress on your trial? So long I've been missing, just want to know
if you succeeded on the PU bushings?

Woo.... Long time didn't hear from you, how are you doing recently ?

Another member - CityManiac had try another type of PU engine
mounts ( Locally custome make ) and turn out to be the sad story...
great vibration on acceleration , feel like with broken engine mounts
...but he is with just one PU engine mount on the car , the less still
the original rubber mounts, so suspect the inbalance of support that
cause the vibration.... my Powerflex PU mounts still awaiting to install
to my car..will try soon.
