Had any V/S 40 owners chaned they lower engine mount recently or
planning to change soon ? as i looking for the lower - Front & Rear
mounts to take some measurement on the rubber inlay.
Had found this Polyurethane kits and wanted to try it on our engine
mounts if every thing are OK than mean we can save alots $$$$$ as
this polyurethane kit only cost about 60 % of our original parts cost
and yet durability are 3 time more.
Thank you

Hi Richard,
If you able to look for Polyurethane kits.. go for it as the original
mounting is really suck. I changed mine 1/2 years ago but, I'm quite
interested in Polyurethane kits. Hmm.. mine is Phrase 2, can it be
fitted??

If i'm not mistaken your phs 2 the Top 2 mounting - left & right are
different from phs 1 ,others are the same. if you can get the top 2
mounts samples than i can measure for you & look for the kits.
I found this Polyurethane kits actually is for others car like Fiat,
Mitsubishi and also other model of Volvo like 200, 700, 800, 900,
V/S70. their dont have any specific kits for our V/S40 so i need to
measure all our engine mounts to do comparison with the existing
kits.

I agree with Citymaniac. I changed mine about 8 months back and only the
first 2 months I felt the smoothness. After that, it's all back to
vibrating time....:(
I would go for the PU ones for my next upgrade.

Hi guys
Just to up date on this PU kits development,
Today went to Chan Sow Lin found a workshop to pump out the
rubber compound from the 2 Lower engine mounts and bring the
remains metal brackets to the shop that selling the PU kits ,
And after he measure it and said it is very hight % can be done with
new PU kits but have to bring to he workshop to do some new
brackets & stanless steel pipe to fit it , will take 1 or 2 weeks time to
complete,
the cost about Rm 380 for 2 PU kits and will plus some fabrication
cost , hope it wounld't be too hight cost as 2 original mounts is cost
about rm 315 .....but again if this PU kits is sucessfull, it will more that
3 or 4 time durability that original mounts....so still save $$$$$$$

Hi all
I read about the PU mount available for 850 as well. Does the supplier
have all the mount included the one at the bottom where its a hydraulic
type that look like a big ballon pad? Quoted about RM1K for original
parts, plus labor at PA.
