hi jimz97

i also installed Locktech in my own car. very convenient to use. you are
right that me also got forgotten to unlock before starting the engine.
right now all LOCKTECH will come with 1 pc of Caution Sticker for
Dashboard, and 2 pcs of Warning Stickers for side windows.

the x-trial problems might be slightly different version sold in malaysia
and thailand. no big deals, this can be solved or money back.

am planning to buy Disklok for my car but it weighs approx 3.8kg! would
placing this sort of weight on the steering wheel for extended
periods "weigh down" or damage the steering wheel? any ideas?

more info on disklok can be found at http://www.disklokuk.co.uk/home.html

It won't deform your steering wheel. The weight is quite evenly
distributed. In terms of deterrence, IMO Disklok is better as its damn
bloody visible and probably more difficult for even hardened car thieves
to undo. The conventional way of cutting the steering wheel cannot be
applied with Disklok. Furthermore, it requires no installation and is
transferrable to (most) cars when you upgrade. The drawbacks are it has
to be stored in the boot when you have passengers in the car (its bloody
bulky) and its a hassle to remove when its raining - the driver's door
has to be open to remove Disklok.

i got 2 DISKLOK actually, one for Getz and one for vios, so far so good,
even thoguth it heavy, but it is really tought that make u have the
confidence on it...

even my friends always laugh at me, ur car is very tough to break in
la... cos when the thief see it, will laugh and go away...

anyway, i store the disklok just under the driver seat of my getz, and
the disklok for vios i have no choice have to store at the passenger seat
behind, and push it under the front passenger seat...

last time i bought is RM480 in JB, and i think u can get it from ENEOS
RM499, if i not mistaken, someone can get RM450.

Wisely,

I got the small size (silver colour) last week also for RM450 from Quest
Audio, Subang Jaya. Hmmm...perhaps on your weekend excursion, you could
have got it cheaper in Singapore.

hi toyyoda,

actually i didn't go to singapore to check the disklok price.
u r right, most of the imported accs to SG is cheaper than malaysia.
but i think i'm not going to buy a new one cos, currently already 2
units, and since it can transferable. maybe use it until i die still can
use as well Tongue...hahaha... i got 1 is silver color, another 1 is yellow
color, yellow one is bought from one of the forummer here, if i not
mistaken is "preluder" cost me half of the actualy price...

thanks to him very much~...

I'm using DiskLok for my car. Feel confident with it around especially
since it looks so visible. Breaking it doesn't look easy and will cause
lots of commotion and noise. Storing under front passenger seat.

Only problem with is that under hot sun, taking the thing off can fry your
hand.
