They (captor) called me everytime my maid mis-handle the alarm system.
The best is I can test the efficiency of the system by engaging them to
keep track my journey from JB to KL, what a good service since I only pay
them RM250 for 2 years

Hi,

AM thinking but worry that it may mess up the current alarm system.
Appreciate if U guys that have got the captor/V-guard tell us how exactly
they fit the unit. Is it is an independent unit or it is mixed up
(upgrade etc) with the current alarm system? ANy wire cutting etc.
Thanks.

Why don't try "DF Tracker" .... It is GPS/GPRS alarm, no installation
charge, only pay monthly RM75 (if service not good, you can terminate it
and free replace/update), I feel that hassle free no need worry what
happened if the add on alarm spoil or else.

Further more you can check your car status anytime once you log on
internet. I find that very interesting is, you may set it as you like ...

And all the centre call or u call centre are no charge, you only bare your
sim card usage (but it also control by u).

I can tell you there is no wiring cut just tap on it but to let you know
once you add on anyhow your original alarm also void whether cut or no cut.

Currently I using it.

"The device sound expensive long term plus internet service charge doesn't
it?"
yup.... it sound expensive.... but if compare others brand it is
cheaper ...like;

1)no need buying the alarm devices save RM2K plus, what happened after you
pay RM2K+ after warranty period??

2)free web map update and device plus replacement as long as you still
subscribe RM75.

3)for Internet ...I just use office internet you will be able to see your
car location (and 30days history for your car movement). I also use my
hand phone but a bit expensive (if you sign the maxis RM120 unlimited
access then is worth) no only then you also can know whether your GPS/GPRS
alarm function or not b'cos you chk daily (I heard someone installed then
lost the car baru find out their device have something wrong can't trace
the car).

4)no extra charges like your car alarm trigger and call centre call you
(you can have many time testing).

5)And the sim card at my car only cost me RM30 last maxis bill .. I sign
RM10 access fees one. (but this one is up to you to set it ie:more
movement point or less for GPS).

6)Can set it .. ie: when alarm trigger who will received SMS and on and
off immobilizer/ how long the alarm trigger you will be received
SMS ....=>I like this I can set it when/where I want.

7)once you activate alarm .. the GPS will lock a 20km boundaries area (if
I not wrong) if it detect there is movement of the car will alert you. =>I
like this one, so I don't afraid my car being town away.

For others I saw some have 2 testing per year if not kena charge or every
call they calculate $$$, becareful!

Atleast this once I only pay for service, if service no good I can
terminate anytime (others have to pay RM2K). So far I have test more then
15times and they call me within 5min (due to I send for car wash they
accidentally press alarm trigger).

For your info ... I might use it for 5 years or less or more(most people
steal new car ma) after that no need lor.... what for go and install RM2K+
some more after warranty period lost all or service not good how??

I would give "DF Tracker" ThumbUp due to they dare to give free tracking
device no like others "good or bad service talk later pay RM2K 1st"

For your info I dont get anything .. I just a user...

GPS/GSM rely on satellite and GSM operator have their weakness... if your
vehicles driven in the tunnel, park at the basement, load to the container
the system wont work.. and some more thieves will use device called as
jammer to block the gsm and gps coverage... but for RF if not mistaken it
is rely on Radio Frequency ... so it is depends on coverage ... but more
effective

Well, if you arm Captor everytime, then your car will be safe.
Even if you park in basement. Captor able to locate your last location /
signal. From there Captor able to track your car.
This same if your car loaded into container.
