noise while driving on bumpy road. He sent it to Selayang SC and the guy
told him that according to a notice from Japan, some Altis may have this
problem, it is something to do with a bracket at rear, they have to take
out the rear seat in order to solve the problem. At the end, his problem
is solved.
Hope this helps.

Do you like to share with us what are the problems you have encountered so
far? I have put down mine in one of the thread, but didn't get good
response.
It is very difficult to get a problem free car nowaday, especially cars
and parts made in malaysia or Asean countries. If you are a "yim jim"
person like me, sure can detect problems here and there.

Sure ! Not because "yim jim" is pay so much $ get bad service from SC ( JB
SC ) Eg: Send my car do checking for my car suspension after checkig just
pass me car key say OK , When i drive back time still the same ,.,,,
F....K service . never let customer checking the car first just say ok .
So buy toyota car is quality not service .

It is common lah! There is always less service quality in our country.
Luckily the SC in Jln 217 PJ is quite OK, provided you have to speak to a
right guy.

I have my altis 1.8 for 1yr+ now, when i 1st got it I was faced with 5
problems!
1) The suspension also - like your tak tak sound !
2) Gear box got wheeling sound like bearing worn-out like that!
3) Cd player not working!
4) the undercoat paint on the front passenger underside near the mudflap
NOT DRY!
5) The clove compartment do not flash with its sides when closed.
After the initial complaint the umw sc in sarawak ask me to bring in the
car during the 1st servis and they will fix the problems. Well before that
happen the problem 4) fix by itself of-coz! Anyway, so i did. I brought in
my car during the 1st servis and they fixed the problem 5) and sent problem
3) for warranty repair and they re-installed it during 2nd servis. However,
I m still waiting for them to solve my problem 1) & 2)! Now, the problem is
my car now more then 1 year liao and the under carriage noise getting more
and more... Just few days ago I decided to forget it just drive the car
until totally rosak and sell it off. I swear it to myself that I will never
buy another toyota car that's made or assembled in Malaysia/Thailand/Indon.
I think their workmanship and material used are of poor quality. Even my
15yrs old BMW318i (don't know where assembled!) better lah! I think I spent
less than RM10k in maintaining my BMW for the past 15yrs - hornestly! I m
just very disappointed with the Altis built - to think that now modern days
with VVTi, GAO, etc...etc.. technology... and at the price tag of
RM120K+... it is just not worth it. Even my friend say the Honda Civic is
better & cheaper - but I don't like Honda "sam-sang" car style, so never
test it.
So if you all want to start a complaint about Altis car, count me in, just
email me and tell me how I may help... ok... cheers.
