ahchun,
just a tip - the E33 tail lamps look a little bit like those on the 1st
generation Wira (1993-95)..
Very limited units available but once in a while, you'll see it.

Luckily the Perdana was not based on this chassis, if not it'll look even
more outdated and antique.

As a matter of fact, the tail lamp on the Wira 1st gen were directly copied
from this model (hatchback model).

The Perdana was a rebadged of Mitsubishi Galant Visage. This model was the
successor for Galant E33 consists of 3 variants the Galant Visage,Emeraude
and Diamante. The engine variant range from the smallest 1800cc 4 cylinder
SOHC Carburated Engine right up till V6 3000CC DOHC Intercooler Turbo
engine.

Galant Visage? Or... Eterna?

So that 1800cc 4cyl SOHC carb engine, is it the one found in the
Emeraude? Coz I once saw a Emeraude in SS2 PJ and the road tax mentioned
1800cc. Carb???

hai ah chun and all...i just join autoworld..he he newbie laa..

but i drive E12 galant super touring. beli cash, no hutang!! ha ha
ha...coz sooo cheap!

and let me confirm to you...that this car drives 100 times better than
saga/iswara/wira even though it is abt 20 yrs old. yupp! its a protected
species..

but kenot tahan laa..coz i belasah my car 120,000km in 3 years.

local assembled E12 Galant is using G37B in-line 4 cylinder engine(later
known as 4G37..even though 1.8 but actual displacement is only 1755cc (so
farr away from 1800cc) the last to use this engine is Mitsubishi Space
Wagon (if i am not mistaken) and its fuel injected. this was replace with
more modern units like 4G93(1.8), 4G63(2.0) and 4G92(1.6) and later the v6
units like 6A10 and 6A12.

maybe in northern territory its difficult to find one, what more in KL but
here in southern region still can find good examples running(especially
those callman and workshop foremen) after converting to 4G63 engine with
turbocharger or normal aspirated 16valve DOHC multipoint ECI. only minor
modifications involved like the gearbox mounting.

myself? not much money for serious mod but i tried changing to megavalve
carburettor(with variable ventury)...improved acceleration!

contact me for more info...Cool

hey realmitsu;
great to know at least there is one ppl here in this forum drive the same
car with me.
may be we can exchange info on the mail.
i never did any mod on the car and my average driving just 1 month for
1000km.
i only use normal castrol mineral oil which cost me rm25 and i change it
every 3000km. i change it fruquent is because i did a top overhaul for
this engine.
so wanna keep this car running for few more year.

My car is actually manufactured 1985 but registered 86.
Got it for rm9.5K. I would agree its rather expensive but then the
condition is good and honestly I dont mind that sum for it.
By the way, do you have problems sourcing for spareparts? I probably need
to change my clutch plate.

i have no problem at all for spare part at the time i drove that car.
most part can use proton saga one. that what the mechanic that i visited
told me. maybe some other part tht more complex can get from kedai
potong. also no problem.

if u dun mind the way this car drink petrol, than i can say this is very
nice old car with very powerful engine. after 3.5k rpm u can feel the
diffrent.

If u look at the supertouring design, it actually resembles a bigger
saga..
