I'm still planning on whether to get one to replace my aging 'shagtria'. I
want to gather info as much as possible. My concerns are the maintenance &
resale value. so to the current and ex-owners:
1) How's the maintenance (after free service)? cheap or expensive? which
oil grade do you use? FullSyn 0W-30/ 10W-40?? how about the parts? price
for original or oem (if any).
2) Any problems with the car that are difficult to solve? eg. rattling,
noise here and there?
3) How's the resale value? I know the CBU units are slightly affected when
the CKD arrived. I can hardly see second hand swifts being sold. or
probably the car is too good to let go? hehehe
4) Security. is the stock alarm good enough? is the swift in the thief's
hotlist?
anymore feedbacks are welcomed. i have test driven the car. i like it. i
don't mind the space for rear passenger. it will be mainly for town
driving. planning to get in 2008 but afraid the facelift will come sooner
(which I hope not).

windshield, as it may short out the ECU. Place some cloth over the ECU to
prevent it from getting wet.

I've been driving Swift for almost a month now and I can say it is very
practical car with very decent fuel consumptions. on the maintenance it's
free for the first 50K service with 10K interval service.
So far Alhamdulillah, I've no complaint. Very pleased with the car. Just
going to do the tinting job, hopefully this weekend.
As for the rest of swiftian, maybe they are still 'on leave'...

14.9km/l s quite good..just have some fun to put swift sport scale model in my car..i saw many
swift in kL hv been converted to sport model..which is make me jealous and counting my budget to
do some make up too..demand for swift in alor star also quite impressive..but then, i didnt see
many swift on plus hiway..just 1 or 2 along my way to kL within 100km/h maximum i drove..
after all, swift is good when u keep it very well..unfortunately, our road lubang sna-sni..make me
more headache and sakit hati..dunno wat to say la..
