Just realised the 'How to maintain Your Car' forum is missing. Is it a
computer problem or was it deliberately deleted?

Yeah, I noticed that too, since yesterday afternoon. And before that
happened, I couldn't seem to go into any of the threads... could only go
into the individual forum's topic listing page.
Hope it's not deleted due to low postings!

Shame that this section has now gone...applying the same logic then there
are quite a few sections to be deleted then....

*** sigh ***
While I`m not against Forumadmin for deleting that forum because it is
AW`s prerogative, I`m only disappointed that notice was not given to
forummers so that we could archive all those interesting and useful
postings that we want.
I was particularly interested in Lanatir`s thread which he shared his
years of experience and tips on car grooming and had Forumadmin given
notice, I would be one of the first few (if not the first) to archive that
thread and other useful ones onto my hard disk.
This is not the first time this kind of thing happened and I hope
Forumadmin will take note of this in future.

Actually that section has been very useful not only to me but I am sure to
many others.
I think the admin shouldn't judge a section by how many postings there
are, but by the quality and usefulness of that section. It's dissapointing
and it gives me one more reason not to visit AW.
It has its own followers and the content is quite unique from the rest of
the forum.
I am sure there are many many lurkers out there who are looking for useful
tips and useful info and I used to be one. I visited the forum nearly
everytime I am visiting AW.
It would be nice if this section can be activated again. What do you think
guys?

Yes, I support Dusunguy`s posting.
Hopefully Forumadmin will consider it. If it is gone permanently,
Forumadmin can always restore that section from their backup media.
I would consider "How to Maintain Your Car" forum as one of the useful
forums in AW. This is because owners of ALL makes come into this forum.
Just like ICE forum, it is unique in its own way.
It really defeats the purpose of what Chips is trying to do in educating
and encouraging the forummers here on posting subjects/topics in relevant
forums.
Well, now that the forum is gone - do not be surprised to find the same
topics posted in different forums ie `How to remove watermarks on
windscreen` or `Is Wash n Wax shampoo Good?` in Toyota, Waja, Honda,
Proton and etc forum by different people in different communities.
I`ve just posted a thread titled `Which polish is the best?` in Waja
forum. Hope I don`t get flamed for it and hope Chips will not lock it.

Yes, dun judge the forum by the no. of posting. If I were to choose, I
would rather be the "Latest News" forum that is gone ..
