Hello quattro,
ABS problems normally appear intermittent in the beginning. Eventually,
it`ll deteriorate further such that the light will be constantly on and
ABS will not function.
I need to diagnose your ABS system first. Bring it in this weekend. Call
me at 017-2721609.

Waja 1.8 brake system is also supplemented by Brake Assist (BA) and
Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD). I'm just wondering if all of this
is affected with the ever famous break light + ABS light syndrome and
will it be affected when you do your repair.

nizesa,
ABS failure triggers a few incident lights on the dash. If you do not
have other brake problems besides the ABS, the other lights you see is
the site effect of the ABS failure. The system is integrated with the ECU
and computers show faults in ways that are not consistent. You`ll have to
address the ABS first to see if the signals, once regularised following
the repair, would erase the other lights. I suggest you restore the ABS
first.

waja3348,
The short answer is yes but I dont do this. It's a mojor job - hydraulics
lines, ABS components, connectivity to ECU. You may as well sell the
existing car and get another with ABS. Seriously.

andriee,
RM410 is charges of reconditioning the ABS module which includes the RM10
return postage. This is for outstation customers who choose to send me
the module via courier service.
For drive in customers, the charge is RM400 for reconditioning of the
module. Servicing of sensors (if necessary - to inspect, reconnect, or
cleaning) which requires removal of wheel is at extra RM80 for the whole
car regardless of the number of sensors adversely affecting the operation
of ABS.
Sorry, cash only. Dont worry so much about max charges. There is no
hidden charges. I only do what`s necessary to restore the ABS function.
Even sensor servising is often not required, in which case, I only charge
RM400 for reconditioning of the module (removal, reinstallation and road
test included).
