Engine codes followed by a T (eg. 4G63T) denotes a factory turbo engine.
The list above only are only partially complete as the engines mentioned
come in all sorts of different configurations. The engines can have SOHC or
DOHC configuration depending on where it's marketed, and there are also a
variety of fuel system (carburettor, MPI/ECI injection). Some engines may
also have balancer shafts in them which were popularly marketed by
Mitsubishi as the 'Silent Shaft' technology.

Some engines are only meant for RWD only, i.e. suitable for longitudinal
mount only especially the older engines (eg. 4G32). Newer engines tend to
be transverse mounted. Another thing to note is that not all engines are
available in Malaysia, eg. 4G54 which is usually used in Australia in
Galant/Sapporo in the 1980s.

Four cylinder Mitsubishi diesel engines which usually have 4Dxx codes have
been omitted from the list.

It's the same.. But the newer reverse head on the CJ4A/CK4A RS engine spec
has titanium valves. Power output and torque still remains the same..

He paid RM5500 inclusive new air-con pump. The car is ready on the road
yesterday. power is good, a lot much more better than those normal Mivec.

Got info from a foreign Mitsu gang. Mivec RS stand For Rally Spec (not
racing spec. This MiVeC-RS is using the same engine as a normal Mirage
MiVeCs, with the same wiring and inlet manifold and throthle body and head
and cams and block and pistons and conrods and every other thing you can
think of. the only difference is.. this engine is ported & polished,
lightened and balanced, that's why it rev higher. The whole Air Cond
System and Power Steering System is removed... It also uses an upgraded
computerbox... the new computer box increases the redline; i heard its due
to the EMS built-in and it doesnt allow FICDs to be attached to the
engine.. meaning.. if you were to add an aircond.. then you would have to
add a device called FICD to control the timing when the aircond is on and
off.. well.. this computer box just goes dead and causes the engine to die
too when an aircond is switched on....

Basically, the whole RS deal is more concentrated towards lightning the
car and reducing the workload of the engine..

i dont know how true.
