I think my ZX Wagon car has the same problem. I did change the link rod once 2 years ago. How possible to do a check on the link rod to confirm that is the culprit ?

take out the tires then you should be able to see it. otherwise, jack up the car real high and go look from below.

as vonnig mentioned, it's about 1 foot long, connecting the antiroll bar to the absorbers. normally, if it's broken, it'll be at the lower part. rubber part..cant help it i suppose.

Hi rfbu,

Did you change / repair the exhaust piping or boxes recently ? You may want to check whether is the exhaust rubber holder problem. There are 2 holders, 1 after mid-box and the other 1 at tail box.

Sometime, after several years, when the rubber gone & loose, the exhaust pipe may hit the body metal part.

Cheers.

rfbu,

This thread seems to be very old but I think I'm now suffering the "tok"
sound as u while turning to the right (also during slow turning about 5-
10Km/h) Suspect from the left side suspension but dunno where.

So have ur "tok" problem settle? & if yes maybe should share with me

Thnx

hi tan,

thanks, i just read your mail.

It's like this, I didn't do anything to fix the problem.

I also can't imagine what's the problem. I have looked around under my
car but I couldn't find anything amiss.

I still get it. However, in order to NOT hear the problem, I avoid
those places which can give the sound.

sorry, not much help here Frown

hopefully, ur problem will be solved soon.
