yes i heard the same thing from an insider in honda as well. technicians
went for training for the CTR FD2. but price isn't that low. it's
somewhere between 200 to 220k.

personally if you want a car that gives u excellent performance and is
track biased, get the CTR. but if you want comfort - forget it. the
suspension is really hard and you need to rev it like crazy (but that's
where the fun is!) to extract the ponies out of it. so don't expect
blistering performance in normal city driving. if you want that, then u
need those new fangled turbo engines that spool up at low rpms < 2000.

but those lovely red brembo brakes....mmmmmm yummy yummy. would i buy
one? in a heartbeat.....

however, tuning a K20A will be a bit more difficult compared to turbos
and superchargers i think since it's NA. check out K20A.org to see what
some mad people have done. :)

oh btw, you can apparently do bookings now but only if you know the right
people in honda. fully refundable booking fee i heard. :)

similar to the mugen civic that honda introduced recently, there will be
limited units of this JDM CTR. i thought i heard 100 or so. so it will be
a very exclusive club!

for that price range, there aren`t many brand new cars that come close to
its performance. perhaps a rabbit. but i dare bet a stock rabbit gets
smoked by this CTR around the twisties and straight line (assuming you
discount driver variances - use the same driver). such fun!!!

to the untrained eye it looks like a normal Civic. but wait till the
owner floors the throttle and drops the gear. the most important thing
about this Civic is that it comes with a stick shift!! not many
performance cars come with this at that price range. so if you like the
feeling of a clutch and shifter, this is the car for you.

*ps:no i don`t work for honda. lol.

Civic type R is not available here yet and this car will NEVER make into
our land officially... expect a handful to come in via recon status

i bet to differ. an internal honda source + friend told me otherwise.

well, let's just wait till the next 2-3 months time frame as that's when
they plan to launch. then we'll know if my friend is smoking something or
his nuts are all in the right place.

I guess looking for the above comments, most of us already over-rated it.
Honda as usual definitely overrated the psi.

Don't think this new K20AR on CTR would perform well on such big and fat
chasis/wheelbase!, on stock form of course!

trust, why deposit so high? what would the selling price be?

Aja, 220ps is not overrated I think. The old CTR, current ITR and AER
all have this power rating already. But I think in stock form would not
be able to eat Porsches for breakfast (unless very old Porsche!!).
