Today, I spotted a Honda Civic Type-R Sedan along the KL-Seremban Highway
turn-off to Kuchai Lama at around 5.40 p.m. It was raining at the time, so
I was unsure whether it is the genuine model or a replica of it, but from
my point, I could see that the rear spoiler and bumper is the same as the
one in Honda's official photo of this car.

It's a local car. But in the Honda corner, the Type-R was launched today,
so the one I saw was a replica.

if not mistaken, that one only been built for japanese market only. and
in very limited amount... that's what Autocar said... the one u spotted
replica one only la i think...

I also hear news..Civic tyre -R is selling in malaysia.

I doubt it too , with price more then 200k ?? hahaha..people will tend to
get an BmW...:)

Hey guys! The Civic Type-R is sold in Japan only because it's JDM model,
like the Accord Euro R. And I doubt if Honda Malaysia will bring in any.
This car is built annually as of 200 units per year. Even if there are any
units left, tuning house in Japan like Mugen and Spoon Sports already
snapped up a few units respectively, so I am sure the remainder is already
sold in Japan for the demand is very strong. No way the rumour of Honda
Malaysia bringing it in is true.

confirmed by a reliable source in honda m'sia that the type R civic sedan
will be brought in by sept this year...price est 160 tp 180k..only 300
available..

i don't think civic type-R will sell at this price. i would say it will
sell above 200k. but if it really sell at 160k then it really best buy.
i saw a euro type-R hot hatch but it is not in malaysia but in sweden,
unfortunately i did take any picture.

If CTR sell in Rm 180k range; surely a lot hardcore Honda fans will buy
them. (Include me) However, really doubt they will bring in lah...against
norm that a JDM will sell in Malaysia. Ya, maybe bring in by Private
importer like Naza, Mutiara motor n etc...just like S2000 n NSX newly
launch where Naza selling them. But not continous.
