Hi! Need advice from sifus. Recently, I have been looking for performance car. But can't decide which car should I go for.
Subaru Impreza WRX STI Ver.10 Sedan A-Line: RM179,000 (2010 Unreg)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X SST: RM 181,000 (2010 Unreg)
My budget is not exceeding 200K.
Thank you for your kind advice.

You should read more on the cars first then go for test drive and see which you prefer. Subaru is still on the flat 4 boxer engine and Evo X on the inline 4. Both have pros and cons, just have to see which you prefer.

I have test drive my colleagues scooby (after mod), but notice there is some serious slip on their AT after shift up. I wonder will Evo X SST got this problem or not. Have google the net regarding SST trans but some say yes some say a little bit after mod.

Well, as far as I know, any gb has it's limit. If come standard should not have any problem. If you are doing mod to increase the engine power, find out what the gb is capable off first.
Can't remember which version of the scooby, but there is one even the manual gb will break down if over it's limit.
Then for eg. Exora CFE turbo, seems the engine tune for torque but just within the gb max. Have seen some mod the engine for more power and torque over the gb max, and still using them without problem. Guess sometimes it is luck too....

a-line still a conventional autobox..
sst is automated manual is not mistaken...
but still when pushed to limit...sst still do have problems of its own...not to mention the ayc as well..
i would say any car u choose better go with manual box.. (both offered in 6mt)

If got time will go test drive the Evo X. But scooby A-Line probably will not be my cup of tea. Coz both my colleagues scooby bought after 1 year + the AT got problem already, after test drive EVO X will decide which to buy. Wonder Evo X spare parts will be resourceful? Since Evo X already ceased production.

common rule of thumb...any car get copycatted will easier to source parts...
means since evo x,inspira, lancer gt,4g63 all share certain common parts....(and famous) so most shop do keep stock of major parts....
like scooby since there is no proton/perodua twins...so most major parts were exclusive for scooby only..hence less shop stocking their part....
but i still choose scooby anyday...and most important things...it was manual box...

Evo X is 4B11T, does it share the same parts as 4G63T?

due to nature evoX=inspira...
some parts.. not specific on engine parts only usually interchangeable...
like steering linkage or other bodyparts in general....
