I got the fuel tank & pump changed after 14K km when i noticed the annoying sound coming from the rear seat. I was informed that it's common for this model :-(. I guess i'll have to check with SC again if this is related to the fuel pump control unit. Hope your ride is running fine now.

Was informed by SC that the pump control unit could be an isolated case. It has nothing to do with fuel tank & pump. Another issue added into the worry list. smile_dead.gif

Hi kcyang, you are driving PCC as well?
The car got the look and handling well, really solid. I just worry about the VW quality now...

Yup n i agree with you.

I guess with more parts/techs thrown in, the failure rate will increase relatively.

Just enjoy your ride!

That's the thing. The more electronics, the higher chance of something fail.

e.g. Compare initial Proton cars (1980's) with manual windows , no problem.
Once put in electronics, power window failure become famous ! smile_blackeye.gif

That one because supplier have to supply the cheapest due to you know what. But even my wife's 1.5 Wira with manual winding rear windows the cable snap and had to be changed also.
Best is my Mitsu 22 years power window still working.... smile_thumbup.gif
