Dear Breadman,

I need your advise.

During a recent heavy downpour, my Ford Focus 2009 Ghia 2.0 went through a poodle of water about 8 inches deep, and stalled. Car towed to an independent workshop where water was found in the inlet manifold. Water removed, and car returned to service. But 2 days later, on my way home from work, the engine seized due to oil loss. Towed to the another workshop, where we found the engine crankcase cracked.

I need a replacement engine. Used Ford Duratec HE 2.0L engines are hard to find. Do you have any links?
(The car is in Seremban, where I live.)

Appreciate your help.

Ah, the same thing happened to a few Ford Focus due to the low air intake. It is going to be an expensive repair. That's why I buy flood insurance. Many other European cars are the same.

I'll PM you the contact of a specialist in the Klang Valley. I hope he can help you. smile.gif
