Very true vr2Turbo.

But mine does not have an opening on the bonnet for air to go through it. Thus, the fan to assist in pulling the air through it. Need this setup as the Kembara does offroading and occasionally go cruising some river.

something like this....

That's why I need the bonnet closed and the cooler high up. Less likely to be damaged.

So anyone can recommend a workshop? Need it repaired ASAP.

TRy to check at Fidelity radiator in old klang road, 51/2 miles, opposite Sri Sentosa, behind a petrol station the 2 row of shop,
know how to go dont know the address. hope they can do it for you.

Cooler lower is not a problem if you enter rivers. Your air intake must be higher up

Cooler at bottom cannot. Kembara goes through ruts, big rocks, logs and whatever obstacles. For some, even bumpers fall off due to scrapping of obstacles. So it's a definite no no.

I'll check out the place. They do intercoolers and modification?
My Kembara...almost anywhere also can.

Undercarriage installed a thick steel plate, then can glide tough tight situation, cannot use stock plastic cover, including long shaft if need to do off road - many mods to do actually.

I hope they can repair your intercooler but mod - not too sure - if beyong repair then have to do mod - can easily find from chop shops. just my 2 cts.

Hi all,
The rounded black is where it's broken and the rounded red is the suction fan where I'd want to have it on the new intercooler.

Any workshop recommendation and maybe a suggestion of a new intercooler?

Whats the length and width of the intercooler?
If its wider and longer than 8 inch then u can easily mod an aftermarket cooling fan to fit the intercooler.
I am saying this as i can see screw hole on the cooler, i am assuming its the same on the back.
Just remember cooling fan works best sucking air,not blowing it through the cooler

Placing the cooler at the front wont be a big issue if u put it behind the grill, not behind the bumper.
That is if u have space back there.

Since u go offroad, get yourself a proper sumpguard as u never know whats lying among the forest floor.
I know my sumpguard save my engine and transfer case at least twice.
Gb and engine are casted item and easily broken with sudden force.

This cooler is 450x230x65mm. The K-car intercooler has the same length but the piping is not at the centre. Have replaced it though after some modification to it. Did it in Xin Exhaust Specialist in Puchong near Tesco. Will update with some pic.
