Hi all.

Good day. I would like to share my honest opinion is car foaming review today.
Previously I did foaming in my car from a competition brand to Autofoam.
Herewith is my honest review for any future buyer comparison:

Car before foaming:
I drive an Inspira and I love the comfort and dislike the float feeling while the car taking corners.
Also there is engine sound, road sound and wind sound to the car which I planning to fix in a few stages.
Other than these issues I am pretty satisfied with my ride.

Competitor Foaming:
Based on my friend recommendation, I intended to foam the car. I went to the shop and inform the issue to the specialist. He advise me to foam the car as the first stage. So I did the undercarriage as per recommended by the shop. Indeed the staff was very kind and advises me on the matter on why and what to choose.

Feel:
First day to 3 day the foam feel good. Car is slightly firmer and handling improve. Steering is a bit heavier than usual. Engine noise has lowered to 30%. No decrease in road and wind noise.

4-6th day. The car become too firm. Every time I brake it even on minor braking and bumps, there is a very noticeable impact shock to the car occupancy. Car has a firm uncomfortable floaty feeling, ride quality deteriorate tremendously.

Went back to the shop and there nothing can be done to improve this and this is what the foam should behave as per informed by the staff.

I was devastated; I really dislike the feeling of the car. I even compared test driving stock car for comparison. My car is basically few months old and I even plan to sell the car once it reaches a year, as you know foaming is irreversible process. I tried to persuade myself that I was been to sensitive and too particular but after a month after the foaming. I decide it was not me anymore.

AutoFoam:
I decided to try to salvage the situation, after vigorous research on the net I found that there is another shop call Autofoam and they have been doing this for 12 years. So I contacted Desmond and ask for his help. A gentleman indeed he ask me to send my car for checking.

After the checking they inform me there is various point the car was not foamed, they took pictures and also to my shock they able to easily poke their fingers in the car undercarriage foam point easily with their finger. Autofoam installation should be is more complete compared to the competition foaming.

They inform me they are able to restore the car and also improve it. What I have to loose?
So I agreed to proceed with the AutoFoam works.

During these period a generous milo ais was delivered to my chair while waiting the car to be foam.
Due to a sudden issue I decided to leave the car with Autofoam shop for the works.

The Autofoam work:
They did took out as much the old foam and injected new foaming in the undercarriage.
Foaming in all the links between the undercarriage and also the engine bay.
From my personal view the foam feel more stiffer and has a harder shell and durable internal compared to the competition foaming.

Feel:
After 3 hours when I pickup the car and test drive it, to my surprise no more annoying impact during braking and bumps! I was impressed but I was still a bit skeptical if the issue will improve or deteriorate after 5-6 days of the foaming.

But the package Desmond offer was pretty good as they did the links between the undercarriage and also the engine bay.

4-6th day. The car become very comfortable and still with the improved handling of the car.
Road noise and engine now has down to 20%. I can hardly believe it. Seriously worth the money spent.

Car has a firm feeling, good handling but with comfortable ride and lower noise.
My wife and my friend also commented well and ask me what have I done to my car. I say its Autofoam!
Desmond manage to save my car, bring back my love for the car. He delivered what he promised with a good and professional work, good service and I am indeed happy with his work.

Summary and my views on foaming.
Foaming is serious works and decision for any car as it is irreversible. Lesson I learn that better do your research and decide you are willing to take the risk if the foaming does not suits you or your car.

I regret not doing any research before foaming, if not I would decide Autofoam as my preferred choice.
Foaming is good for your car but it depend on the area applied and Autofoam has the experience and expertise to advise and perform this to your car. Only Autofoam has the option to foam other parts of your car aside from the undercarriage.

Doing something irreversible, I strongly suggest one should consider better quality foam, 12 years experience staff, and more application in area needed as Autofoam is that choice from my view. Lesser risk, no headache and proven for 12 years.

I have nothing against other foaming, they offer a decent deal to some. Some owner will have good feedback for the car foam they applied. I tried both and this is my review on my car. It may fit well on your car but I didn’t with my ride. My apologies to the competition foaming shop, this is my honest review to the situation I face. Thanks.

Firm with soft comfort absorber is not good.
Also just doing the undercarriage without the links and engine bay cause the comfort to deterioration a lot.

The soft part is the foam underneath that can easily poked by finger.
I'm doing door and bonnet sound proofing as per advised by Desmond in 1 1/2 month time.
