My 2011 Sonata 2.4 first had the KL Autofoam Comfort package done in mid-2011 and the result was, as most customers will attest to, very significant handling improvements, previously-unfelt stability and vibration-free yellow speed strips... Now, I had UltraRacing anti-roll bars installed prior to the Comfort, and I thought the handling was already enhanced to a great degree but I only appreciated the UR bars at higher speeds round corners and roundabouts.

But after the Comfort package, I actually enjoyed driving the car from both extremes - angelically sedate teu30.gif, all the way through to devilishly, dizzying speeds 1.gif.. (okay, not dizzying, but you get my drift smile_big.gif)

I thought that was all I needed in the handling department, and while I've frequented KL Auto numerous times, I didn't seriously consider treating the side sills until Saturday... I just had the sills done with the race formula foam when Desmond took the car for a test drive (actually the purpose was to try and resolve a sound issue) when he suddenly shouted, "OH! That's why!!" I thought he had an EUREKA moment about why I had a whooshing sound. Then he said, "You had the side sills done. No wonder the car was so obedient. Point the steering and it steers without a fuss. Previously I thought your car was so-so... but now..." and grinned.

I thought to myself, "OK, that good huh?". When it was time to go home, I got anxiously behind the wheel and borrowing richard912's post, "One word, "BEST!!!" smile_thumbup.gif Handling is much improved, sapu corner more confident".. oh yeaaaah, now I know what you're talking about richard912 blink.gif...

So now, I'm now up to the Track package and vibrations are hardly felt, handling is excellent, there's hardly any harshness going over bumps and potholes and the car is virtually point-and-shoot... Money well-spent..

Paired with good performance tyres, this mod is fantastic! So now, I'm questioning myself - "Why the heck did I wait so long to do it??"

after foaming the side sills, i didn't have a chance to drive the car yet before Desmond took it for a spin... i was in the passenger seat while Desmond was driving..

i only drove it after the test drive... and it felt good straight away driving out of the shop...

OK, I've been driving around with the benefit of the side sills for about 6 days and the enjoyment hasn't died down yet..

The car feels so nimble - so much so, it really doesn't feel like a saloon. It's that effective. So far the benefits I can think of right now are:

1. Extremely stable,
2. Tyre noise is reduced slightly,
3. Very light steering feel without losing any feedback
4. Very responsive and accurate steering direction.

Taking corners, the car feels very planted and even on those raised metal joints or brickwork stretches where it will cause the car to skip slightly, the confidence the side sills provides is awe-inspiring. Coupled with Goodyear F1 Asymmetric2 tyres, I can take the sweeping Jalan Semantan curve with at high speed without much body roll and floating...

Actually, coupled with the grip the F1 A2 tyres provide, taking corners is easily accomplished with only two fingers. Steering accuracy is taken to another level - flick the steering wheel and the car will point her noise in that direction without any fuss.

With all my cars, I've always taken good care of my tyres, but it looks like this current set of tyres is going to wear down faster as long as I keep finding the thrills in taking corners and bends with both speed and aplomb...

A trip up Genting is probably on the cards next weekend with this setup and I'm really looking to what the autofoamed sills can offer up on those twists....

sigh bro... your advice came too late... according to MYEG, I have one "love letter" from PDRM already and I have a notice at home asking me to collect a registered letter from Pos M'sia - which I'm pretty sure is the same "love letter"
