Send my wife car to KL auto for soundproof few months back. Till now, the problem persist with the noise ( woong ..woong ) coming from the undercarriage. Send back for second round of checking and finetuning with no improvement thereafter. Both Desmond and mechanic recognise the level of noise was very obvious but at the end failed to address the issue.

Was actually ask by Desmond to change my tire ! come on ! If I know earlier the tyre is culprit then i wont have spent 4k for sound proofing.

That is why I told Desmond that he should have check the car before recommending any package. Each car can be unique by nature. Hence without proper evaluation and talking or listening to the customer's problem in the first place, then money will be spent unneccesarry. I would have change the tyre first before sent to him for soundproof if he could have tested my car first and tell me the problem rather than straight embarking into doing the massive soundproofing job for me.

Anyway, i believe desmond did try his best to help me but too bad the problem persist till today.

Anyone else have this problem with Mazda hatch back ?? the noise is so obvious on an uneven road and can't even hear clearly if u are on the phone.

I have spent a bit more than your amount but I am satisfied with my soundproofed car. What packages have you spent on?
Fully autofoamed?
Fully soundproofed?
STP mastic?

I have introduced a lot of friends over and all of them are satisfied with the product, and workmanship as well.
In fact some told me its too quiet, it creates pressure, thats a different matter all together smile_big.gif

Anyway, tire is always the main source of noise.
Changing to a quiet tire will definitely lower down your car noise.
Soundproofing is just lowering your overall car decibel level.
I am quite sure it did lower down your car noise just that its not to your expectation.

I know where are you coming at, and yes, most of the appliances there will not help at your type of noise problem
it is quite specific actually

more research could've saved you the amount

Hi KHAWWM,

Has it been 6 months since we last saw you?
Since then, we have done quite a bit of R&D on Mazdas.

I agree the noise from the stock TOYO tires on your Mazda 3 Hatchback is still quite prominent.

That is why i SMS and called you on numerous conditions, 3 to 4 months ago, to come for a Re-tweak.
Unfortunately, we have not heard from you till now.

So if you are still keen to let us address your problem, give me a call.

Cheers,

Desmond

Hi Desmond,

Yes, I did receive ur SMS but I afraid the result will be the same cos I have sent for second round re tweak earlier with no obvious improvement n I spent almost a full day in your shop.

Is just that each time my wife make phone call in the car, she will start complaining to me that she can't hear clearly cos is so noisy. U know women can grumble a lot n complain that the 4k is the lousiest investment I have made etc...

I really wish to sent the car for u to re tweak again cos I dun want to listen to her complain for the rest of my life !

By the way, the tire is not TOYO but Dunlop sport leman 703.

Do u have the confidence of solving the problem ? If yes, then I dun mind to arrange n sent to u for the last time.

KHAWWM,

Dunlop Sports LeMan tires....not known to be quiet.

Since the time you came, we have brought in some fantastic NEW Soundproofing material and solutions from US
Much better.

We can help make the Tire noise QuietER, less intrusive.
In line with of our motto and custom of customer satisfaction, give us 4 hrs to improve the tire noise insulation.

Cheers,

Desmond

No offence but it seemed another potential sale for 'upgrade package'.

I never mentioned anything about charging KHAWWM for the re-tweak.

It is Never our policy to charge for re-tweaks, if we deem necessary, for the same solution.
There was even once when we "recalled" for Free Roar Buster upgrade.

Manfisto bro,
Great to see you here again.

Cheers,
