Hi guys,
I'm having a problem with my gearbox. I can't shift 1st gear but the rest is okay. This happens while I'm driving on the 5th gear on the highway. The engine suddenly jerked and since then it started. At first I'm stuck on the 5th gear and can't even change to other gears. I kept on trying while on the drive and after the 3rd try I managed to change to other gears. At the toll I realized that I can't shift to 1st gear and drove off with 2nd gear. I'd rather change my engine as well if I have to change the gearbox.
I need some advice regarding my TX3 1.8. I'm planning to change my engine to a 2.0 AT that fits without much modifying. Besides B8 engines are there any other engines I can use.
For B8s, does the gearbox comes together when I buy the engine. What's the estimate cost? And if you guys have any other recommendations please let me know.
