u must be joking. 3rd row seats is only meant for children below 9 y/o.
usually it will be convert into boot space.

full size mpv available in malaysian market is estima, odyssey, mazda 8, naza ria

I guess it all boils down to one's perception. If the 5008 is a "full-sized MPV", this would make the Touran a full-sized MPV as well and cars such as the Grandis, Mazda 8, Estima, Ford S-Max will be called "fuller-size MPV". Alphards and the like will be "fullest-size MPVs"! smile_tongue.gif

Checked out the Touran today. Sorry, it's way too small for me. Interior-wise, it feels marginally smaller than the 5008 but the quality is streets ahead of the 5008.

Well, on a positive note, VW cars has been known to be resilient against poor RV so I wouldn't worry too much about it (unless there is plans to CKD which may bring the selling price down. Fortunately the Cross Touran shall remain a CBU).

Compact MPV? 5008 is a full sized MPV wor.

Though there is a very high chance that the Touran (not the Cross Touran) will come in as CBU from Indonesia!!!

This Cross Touran is not for me. I am shopping for someone else. Well, I am also looking around for another sushi with hybrid technology hatch but this time for relax and a bit of luxury flavor, as my wife new car! I guess I am kind of like the taste of sushi now, especially since dun need to worry too much about gearbox/engine problems like I used to be with my old car.

Bro khlee23,
Let me guess, it must be a Prius ? trink39.gif

How does touran compare quality wise with SMax?

Personally, I feel the Touran is still of higher quality than an S-Max but it's very marginal.

Quality of materials use, the S-Max wins with its soft-touch plastics used generously throughout the cabin. The power window buttons feel nicer on the S-Max but everything else (wiper stalks, dashboard buttons, etc) are about the same.

I like the way the doors in the Touran close. Very hefty feel just like a proper German car.

Ahh, you are right, bro. My mistake .... I have been re-educated that the 5008 fits under mid-sized MPV sharing the likes of Mazda 5, Exora and Citroen Picasso C4. My bad. smile_blush.gif

??? wild cherry ? you mean you bought the chinese mpv ?

i was at VW ttdi today - surprisingly a LOT of people were taking turns to view the cross touran and the passat + Jetta was hardly viewed at all! lot of strong interest for sure but i didnt see a lot of ppl booking the car and i highly suspect the price is just too much to bear.

me ? i like the cross touran - if only the price was lower....
