Hi Guys,
Last Wednesday had the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy 2 fitted to my VR at Quicksave. Size 215/45/R17 91Y.......

The Surprise - Sidewall only 1 Polyester ply and Thread area 4 plies only (1 polyester, 2 steel, 1 polyamide)


But the Asy 2 weighs in lighter
New Asy 2 weighs in at 8.5 kg (using my old weighing scale)


More then half worn Old Asy still weighs in more, at almost 10kg

When feeling the unmounted Asy 2 sidewall, it feels soft. Actually softer then the F1 D5 (compare size 215/45/R17) Other sizes may be different. But the softness is only in the area just below the thread shoulder pattern and sidewall, unlike Yoko C-Drive 2 where the whole sidewall is soft. This could be due to the 1 ply rating of the new Asy 2 sidewall.
But after fitted the Asy 2 with 33 psi all round do not seems soft. The ride is smooth and quiet. On uneven road they take up the bumps quite nicely as in comfort, but with deeper holes the ride seems quite bumpy.
So far have not got the chance to test in the wet, anyway have not run them in yet, but did try in the dry, my favorite corner going to work, but since new did not push too hard, but they felt so planted. My old Blue streak, which I love to drift with, in corners, but it looks like with these Asy 2 will be difficult to drift them. Let me test further.....

are there sizes for 205/ 55 or 60 for 16" rims ? like the thread very much but i doubt they have in 16"...
a fren of mine installed nexen n9000 (215/45/17) at GR Racing, Rahman Putra, do u have this tyre?

For older Asy., as far as I know only 205/45/R17 and 215/45/R17 was made in China, all other sizes from Germany.
For Asy 2, I think all from Germany......
