Not sure if this is a normal, but i noticed that the front tire as compared to the back tire pic below it, the 3rd thread blocks onwards there is substantial reduction in groove depth, even coming to a point where its almost leveled off to become a solid ribbon block. Wouldnt that affect performance severely as the water are now unable to be channeled sideways?

The picture I quoted was posted by vr2turbo. It seems that the alignment is fine, im just interested in the amount of wear after 10k, where u can see that the most of the groove have worn out leaving only the 4 main 'longkang' to displace water off the centre.

Is Asy2 harder than other UHP tyres, my sport maxx GT is due replacement soon? I met an e60 owner, he complained that it's hard and he felt uncomfortable with asy2. Btw he is an ah pek lol.

That is because I did not rotate the tyres. The tyres have been up front on my heavy VR which is turbo charged, and driven at high revs most of the time.....

Depends on what series he is using. Mine on 45 series have pretty good ride, but now on adjustable suspension the ride slightly bumpy loh....

Time for my NA Sonata III to have new shoes, so what better way to transfer my existing GY Asy2 over, so that I can proceed to test another set of tyres.

Front tyres - 50% balance


Rear Tyres - 80 plus % balance


Mileage done slightly more then 11k km with no rotation. Total mileage with rotation, I guess should be around 30k km on my turbo VR4.

This GY Asy 2 is one of the best wet and dry tyres, I would say wet handling is really good. Really enjoyed driving on these tyres. Even with D2 adjustable suspension fitted, and using 34/33psi front/rear air pressure they still have acceptable comfort.
Grip wise is superb.
However the front with 50% thread wear balance starts to aquaplane a bit in heavy rain. Well, what to expect with half the grooves gone....
But handling in wet and dry still very good......
