Shell Advance contest offering trip to Spain and Ducati superbike
Shell Malaysia is organizing two consumer campaigns giving out attractive prizes to Shell Advance motorcycle oil users. First, the Shell Advance ‘Key to Freedom’ contest will reward four customers with a VIP trip to Valencia, Spain to watch the Spanish MotoGP in November 2012.
The three-month contest will run from 1 June till 31 August 2012 and is open to customers who purchase a 1-litre pack of Shell Advance Ultra 4T, AX7 4T, AX5 4T, VSX 2T or SX 2T motorcycle oil. Inside the front label of each pack is a unique 9-digit code that allows each user one chance to enter the contest via SMS.
Ten contestants will be selected to compete for the four places to Valencia in a ‘live’ challenge to be held in conjunction with the Shell Advance ‘Battle of the Bands’ Finale on 15 September 2012. The quartet who eventually makes it to Italy will then have a chance to add a Ducati Monster superbike to their winnings as well.
The Shell Advance ‘Battle of the Bands’ runs concurrently with the ‘Key to Freedom’ contest. Using the aforementioned 9-digit code on the motorcycle oil pack, , customers can vote for their favourite up-and-coming local band among the 20 selected by Shell Malaysia to be featured on http://www.youtube.com/user/shelladvance.
The ten most voted bands will battle it out live on stage for a first prize of RM8,000 in the finale. Voting customers will get an additional bonus entry in the ‘Key to Freedom’ contest to boost their chances of going to Spain.
