Focus ST to lead Ford line-up in Paris Motor Show
At the upcoming Paris Motor Show, Ford will be showing off the complete bodyshell lineup for the next generation Focus together for the first time. Three distinct bodyshells – hatch, sedan, wagon – will be on display, and leading the charge will be the next generation Focus ST. The all-new Focus will go on sale in Europe and North America in early 2011, with the ST only launching a year later.
Next-gen Ford Focus to show off all three bodystyles together for the first time.
We never got a taste of the previous-generation Focus ST and its Volvo-sourced 2.5-litre 5-cylinder motor, but there is hope for us this time round. Under the new Focus ST’s hood is a 2.0-litre four-pot EcoBoost motor capable of producing a claimed 247hp.

A 200hp version of this engine is featured in the Ford Mondeo facelift, also set to go on display at Paris alongside an ultra-low CO2 ECOnetic version. Featuring turbocharging and direct injection, the Mondeo 2.0 Ecoboost offers 300Nm of torque from 1,750 to 4,500rpm, a highly exciting preposition and a more-than-welcomed replacement for the weedy 2.3-litre Duratec motor we currently get for the Mondeo here.

Another notable product set to go on display will be the C-Max and Grand C-Max Multi-Activity Vehicles (Ford designations). Based on Ford’s new global C-segment platform that also underpins the Focus, the C-Max will feature a 1.6-litre EcoBoost motor good for 178hp and a 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi oil burner.
