Positioned as a futuristic, intelligent, and highly versatile EV, the smart #5 preview stole the spotlight with its blend of design flair, innovative tech, and off-road capability.

The new smart #5 marks a significant evolution for the brand, moving beyond compact urban EVs to embrace a more adventurous and spacious direction. Designed for drivers who want a tech-forward SUV without sacrificing utility or style, the smart #5 redefines what an electric SUV can be in the mid-size segment.

Rugged yet refined, the smart #5 introduces a bold, boxy silhouette with short overhangs, upright proportions, and a distinctive road presence. Measuring 4,695 mm in length with a 2,900 mm wheelbase, it brings a sense of purpose and adventure to the premium EV SUV segment.

Signature features include:

• Floating smart logos on the wheels

• Hidden ‘easter eggs’ tucked into the design for playful personal discovery

Inside, the smart #5 blends utility with elegance. A one-button Comfort Mode adjusts both co-driver and rear seats for optimal relaxation. Rear seats fold completely flat, transforming the cabin into a king-size “in-car suite”—a standout feature for those who want more than just a means of transport.

The interior also features:

Underpinning the smart #5 is a state-of-the-art EV platform paired with a 100 kWh battery, offering an estimated WLTP range of up to 590 km. Thanks to its 800V architecture, drivers can charge from 10% to 80% in just 15 minutes, making ideal for long-distance travel.

It’s not just about city commutes. The smart #5 is equipped with multiple off-road drive modes including Sand, Snow, Mud, Rock, and Adaptive. For added versatility, a built-in 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlet allows users to power external devices, from laptops to camping appliances, turning any location into a mobile basecamp. 

High-Tech Cabin, High-End Sound

Inside, the smart #5 showcases a futuristic cockpit powered by the AMD V2000 chip running smart OS on Unreal Engine. A massive 25.6″ AR-HUD and dual 13″ AMOLED displays deliver sharp, immersive visuals. The in-car assistant, Leo, uses AI to respond to natural voice commands, elevating the smart #5’s digital experience.

Audio is provided by a 20-speaker Sennheiser Signature Sound System, complete with an ambient lift-up speaker that creates a surround sound experience unlike anything in its class.
