Motor Image Announces Subaru ‘Test Drive At Home’ Option And Enhanced Hygiene Procedures
Motor Image (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, which is owned by TC Subaru Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor of Subaru
vehicles in Malaysia, has announced that it has reopened all its showrooms and service centres. Conforming with Subaru’s obsession with safety, Motor Image has put in place stringent protocols to ensure that customers have peace of mind when they visit its showrooms and service centres or have test drives.
Test Drive At Home
Adapting to our new situation in this pandemic, TC Subaru has introduced the ‘Test Drive at Home’ initiative those who do not wish to travel to the showrooms. All you have to do is call any showroom and make an appointment for a sales consultant to drive a Subaru vehicle to you for a test drive.
Motor Image will ensure that all Subaru test drive vehicles are thoroughly sanitised before and after test drives. A strict protocol has been implemented to clean all frequently touched areas, including centre armrests, door handles, gear knobs, etc.
All sales consultants will also wear face masks and have sanitisers at hand. Their temperature is checked upon coming to work and is checked two more times during the day. Any staff showing a higher than normal temperature reading or any respiratory symptoms will be turned away and asked to see a doctor.
Enhanced Measures For Your Safety
TC Subaru has also implemented enhanced measures for your safety. This includes frequent cleaning and safe distancing measures in all its work areas. All touch points, including computers, stationery, counters, desktops and common areas are sanitised daily before the start of the work day as well as at the end of the day. Employees are also required to wear face masks at work.
Visitors to the showrooms and service centres will also have their temperature checked. If a customer shows a body temperature of 37.5°C or higher, he or she will not be allowed to enter the premises but will be advised to see medical attention. Motor Image also seeks the cooperation of visitors to provide contact details to facilitate contact tracing.
To ensure there is proper safe distancing, the company is also limiting the number of customers in Subaru showrooms at any one time. Markers are in place to establish physical distancing of at least one metre. During this period, refreshments will not be served in showrooms.
In adherence to regulations, TC Subaru has to close waiting areas at service centres. Customers are requested to send in their vehicles and return to pick them up after the job is completed. Customers are also advised not to bring their children along. All vehicles will be thoroughly sanitised before and after each job. The company also encourages customers to use cashless payment options.
Customers visiting showrooms or service centres in Selangor can download the state’s SELangkah app, an online registration system to ease contact tracing for individuals entering premises in the state.
