New Proton 3S Outlet Opens In Seremban, Negri Sembilan

A new Proton 3S dealer outlet has officially opened in Seremban, Negri Sembilan. Operated by Setia Auto Drive Sdn Bhd, the new 3S outlet bears the brand’s new Corporate Identity (CI) colours, and was established at a cost of nearly RM3 million.

The 3S outlet is located in the Galla Industrial Park, surrounded by factories and shoplots, and is a popular area for car marques to set up shop. This is due to its strategic location with easy access from the PLUS highway which is only a 5-minute drive from the Bandar Ainsdale toll plaza and the Seremban-Labu exit.

Besides the showroom floor, the outlet has six work bays, six service hoists. There are nine dedicated sales staff and eight service staff to serve customers. Amenities for customers include complimentary WiFi, charging outlets, and a comfortable lounge.

It used to be that people shy away from the brand, but now, people are talking differently. For me to be part of the brand is most fulfilling. The opening of the Setia Auto Drive outlet makes it 79 3S/4S outlets in total for the Proton brand, which is apt timing due to the improvement in its sales performance as well as its rank as the No. 2 in terms of sales. Overall sales growth has increased by 50.2% from January – April 2019, compared to the same period last year. The X70 SUV remains its most popular model with bookings totalling over 27,000 units; deliveries have reached 11,133 units. Proton also recently launched the updated Iriz and Persona which are also expected to contribute to the company’s sales.

“At PROTON, customers remain our main priority. We want them to walk in to any PROTON outlet and they could enjoy substantial level of customer satisfaction. With 79 outlets operating as 3S/4S nationwide, we would be able to serve all our customers’ need extensively all under one-roof,” said Dr Li Chunrong, Chief Executive Officer of Proton.

“The outlet upgrading has allowed existing and new customers to see PROTON differently. This feat was made possible by the concerted effort from all, from our dealers, vendors and staff. I am even happier to announce that we have shifted our position from the number 3 spot, to claim the number 2 spot for the first time in 37 months. My hope is for us to maintain this position till end of the year,” Dr Li added.

Proton is running offers on several models in the month of May. Buyers of the Iriz and Ertiga can enjoy savings of up to RM4,000, while the Saga has savings of up to RM3,800. There are also more deals on other models.

The outlet launch event was jointly officiated by Dr Li Chunrong and Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Aminuddin Harun, Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan. Directors of Setia Auto Drive and senior management members of Proton were also present.
