Revised Prices For Volkswagen Vehicles – 0% GST
Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced its revised prices for its vehicles effective 1 June 2018, in line with the revision of Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate from 6% to 0%.
These new prices are before registration and insurance costs, and of course, before implementation of a new Sales and Services Tax (SST) structure. As the government has not announced a new tax structure to be effective 1 June 2018, we can safely assume that there will be a ‘tax holiday’ in the meantime.
VPCM is encouraging those looking to buy a car to take advantage of this, as well as its ongoing ‘Fuel Up Your Gaya’ Hari Raya promotion where you can enjoy low interest rates of 0.88% per annum and cash rebates of up to RM15,000 on selected Volkswagen models (while stocks last). Additionally, if you purchase a Volkswagen between now and 30 June 2018, you will also receive a petrol card worth RM1,188.
Erik Winter, Managing Director of VPCM said that the Malaysian public is in a position to benefit from the current situation. “This period in time is a windfall for Malaysians, and so I would like to urge those considering our products to grab this opportunity as there is no better time to own a Volkswagen.”
“Customer peace of mind is always a priority for us, and we want to be able to provide this during the transition period until the implementation of the SST. We want our customers to benefit from the revised prices, and enjoy our ongoing promotions,” he added.
All new Volkswagen vehicles are covered by a 5-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty, 5-Year Roadside Assistance and 3 Years of Free Service.
