Petronas and Grab Malaysia Offer Exclusive Grab Driver Pit Stop And More

If you have ever been constantly on the road all day, you will know how taxing it can be. This kind of stress can negatively impact driving performance and for someone who makes a living from driving, this will affect the job quality. Hence, Grab Malaysia, the ride-hailing company which is in the business of driving, is collaborating with Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB) to set up the Grab Driver Pit Stop to allow Grab drivers to rest and refresh themselves.

The Grab Driver Pit Stop will be available at selected Petronas stations beginning 2 May 2018. The first phase of the roll-out involves 58 Grab Driver Pit Stops nationwide, of which five will be fully furnished with an exclusive seating area for added comfort and convenience.

The five fully furnished locations are Petronas Station Mutiara Damansara, Petronas Station Jalan Jelatek 2, Petronas Station KLIA2, Petronas Station East West Link and Petronas Station Sprint Highway. PDB and Grab target to have a fully furnished Grab Driver Pit Stop in every city Grab is present.

“We are very excited to work with Grab in creating this unique experience for the Grab drivers, who often had to drive long hours. The Grab Driver Pit Stop is an ideal place for the drivers to rest and freshen themselves, in line with our emphasis on road safety and the danger of microsleeping,” said Aadrin Azly, PDB’s Head of Retail Business.

Grab Driver Partners with the Grab Petronas Mesra (a.k.a. Kad Mesra Grab) loyalty card can enjoy complimentary Mesra mineral water or hot coffee with every purchase of fuel worth RM50, as well as other special offers.

To add to this, Grab drivers with the Kad Mesra Grab can now enjoy 6x Mesra points for every litre of fuel, up from the previous 5x (regular Mesra card members get 3x).

With the Fuel Savers Programme, Grab drivers will also enjoy fuel rebates of up to RM22 monthly (on approximate total spend of RM600 on fuel). This programme which previously was applicable to only selected top performing drivers is now extended to Silver, Gold and Platinum drivers in the GrabAllStars Programme.

Further, all Grab Driver Partners who are registered Mesra card members will automatically get one month free Mesra Personal Accident (PA) benefit which provides the member Accidental Hospital and Death benefits of up to RM50,000 via the Axxess programme. Members can continue this subscription at only RM1 (100 Mesra points) a month, on a spend of a minimum of RM100 at any Petronas station nationwide.
