Recall for Nissan Serena S-Hybrid CBU

Recall for Nissan Serena S-Hybrid CBU

by -

Following an earlier announcement made by Nissan Motor Co Ltd, local distributors Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has confirmed that units of the Nissan Serena S-Hybrid C26 manufactured in Japan in 2013 and sold in Malaysia from July 2013 onwards are subject to a minor recall.

ETCM, via Tan Chong Express Auto Service Centre (TCEAS), will contact the owners of the affected Nissan Serena S-Hybrid (CBU) directly, to take the required action of re-tightening the fuel pressure sensor of their units to prevent any potential fuel leakage incidents. No parts replacement is necessary, and labour for this service will be at no cost to customers.

ETCM has further clarified that this service campaign is unrelated to a separate recall relating to the high pressure pump affecting 4WD variants of the C26. Malaysia-spec versions of the Serena C26, both CBU and CKD, are FWD and consequently use different components than the affected 4WD models.
