Chevrolet Cruze available with 2013 model year updates
The Chevrolet Cruze will be welcoming the new year with renewed vigour following the introduction of a new facelift bringing revised aesthetics and additional equipment at an unchanged price of RM104,716 on-the-road without insurance.
Cosmetic changes include a new front fascia that features a swept back design and slightly elongated nose. The larger air intakes of the new bumper is said to improve cooling efficiency, and along with it comes a revised design for the front fog lamp slot. The rear bumper is redesigned as well, and new 16-inch alloys complete the external revisions.
Inside, equipment added to the roster include USB and Bluetooth connectivity and MP3 playback on the audio system. Seats wear a leather-fabric combination trim, and added convenience comes in the form of a push-start button and cruise control. The new items complement existing equipment that includes dual front airbags, ABS, and ESP.
Mechanical underpinnings, however, are unaltered. Based on GM’s global Delta-II platform, the Cruze’s Body Frame Integral monocoque sits on MacPherson struts up front and a torsion beam at the rear. The 140hp/176Nm 1.8-litre Ecotec continues to be the sole powertrain option, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission as standard.
For after sales peace of mind, the 2013 Cruze is offered with a 3-year / 100,000km warranty, and backed by a 24/7 Chevy Assist breakdown support. Taking care of the customers’ needs is a sales and service network that consists of 26 3S and 2S centres nationwide.
