New Peugeot Blue Box in Sg Petani
Nasim Sdn Bhd, official distributor of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia, has opened a new Peugeot Blue Box 3S dealership in Sungai Petani extending its reach to the northern tip of the country. The dealership is operated by Le French Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, a unit of the Chye Seng Group of Companies.
The outlet’s service centre is equipped with the Peugeot Planet System Diagnostic tool which enables the service personnel at the centre to perform full static and dynamic diagnostics on the vehicle’s management software. It can also be utilized to carry out software updates for the vehicle’s onboard electronics. Equipped with two service bays, the outlet can service up to six vehicles per day.
As part of an aggressive nationwide network expansion drive, the Sg Petani outlet follows the recent opening of outlets at Malacca, Kota Bharu, Balakong, and Kota Kinabalu. There are currently 21 sales outlets and 19 service centres representing the Peugeot brand in Malaysia, with 12 of them being full fledged 3S (sales, service, and spare parts) centres.
“The Peugeot brand has been one of the fastest growing brands in Malaysia this year. In order for us to accelerate this growth further, it is imperative for us to bring Peugeot to new markets,” said Dato’ Samson Anand George, COO of Nasim.
“It is worth pointing out that of the five new outlets launched this year, four are dealerships which indicates the level of confidence investors have in the Peugeot brand,” Dato’ Samson added.
As of end-November 2011, Nasim has sold 4,949 units this year which is a 92% year-on-year increase from 2010. In fact, Nasim has already exceeded the total sales of 2010 by a full 75%. In addition, Peugeot sales in Malaysia as of 31 Oct 2011 accounts for 86% of the French carmaker’s total sales in the Asean region.
