New Audi TT With More Punch and Direct Shift Gearbox Launched By Euromobil
Glenmarie, 21 June 2007 – Euromobil launched the new Audi TT Coupe tonight to the media and invited guests at the Audi Hangar. The shape remains much the same as the previous model, so in actual effect it is a facelift model, but it comes with some very key and significant improvements.
The engine is now a 2.0 litre TFSi, turbo charged to give 200 horsepower, and 280 Nm of torque available from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm. This looks like the same power plant that is in the Volkswagen Golf GTi. With it comes also a 6-speed Direct Shift gearbox that is a great gearbox, and those of you in the know can already guess where that came from. For those of you who don’t, this gearbox is the DSG gearbox that we have been raving about.
Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h is claimed at 6.4 seconds, and a claimed top speed of 240 km/h.
The Audi TT Coupe is a 2 + 2 seater, which gives one the option of squeezing another two small bodies into the back, which makes the Audi TT a little more versatile than those sports models that are strict 2-seaters.
The great news is that the retail price is RM368, 000.00, which, in comparison to what others are asking for a car in this category, is a real steal, if you can afford one, that is.
