Mercedes-Benz is tops in SEA and India
Despite strong challenge from BMW, Audi and Lexus, the three pointed star is still the favourite ride of the rich in South East Asia and India.He most spectacular growth was recorded in Indonesia where their volume increased by a whopping 84 %, followed by Vietnam (60%), Singapore (22%), Thailand (15%), Malaysia (14%) and India (12%).Overall they sold 17,400 cars in the region last year.The S-Class remains the unchallenged market leader in the top luxury segment. The E-Class has succeeded very well in sustaining its strong position. The C-Class started very successfully from its launch mid 2007 and proves highest competitiveness in its segment.”Earlier this year Stuttgart announced that their worldwide sales of Mercedes-Benz Cars including Maybach and Smart increased by 2% setting a new worldwide sales record of 1,285,900 in 2007.
